Gold and White (or is it Black and Blue?) Graduation Announcements

Simple white and gold graduation announcements

Reality started setting in as I created my daughter’s high school graduation announcements. It seemed such a short time ago when I found out I was expecting for the first time. I couldn’t believe it! My whole life was changing, and so fast! Joe and I were so ecstatic, anxious, nervous, excited and scared, all at once. Then, all of a sudden, we were parents. We were in love instantly. Our hearts and lives were given to this little tiny bundle of girl forever. Then, real life set in. Sleepless nights, constant bouncing, back ache (I could never put this little one down, or she would scream bloody murder… dang colic) were just the norm now. So were soft talking, cooing, smiling, and enjoying playing with tiny hands and feet. Haha! Oh the days of being a new parent for the first time. They seem so far behind us now! Of course, after having six kids, we’ve had many of those precious times in our lives. Those moments seem to fly by and I wonder where all of the time has gone. Life has a way of making you stop and reflect what has happened over the years. Am I really old enough to have my little girl graduating from High School? After all, I just barely graduated a short few years ago myself!

How can I forget the first day of kindergarten. When Jaci got home from school, I asked her what she thought about school and she said, “I love it! It’s the best thing ever! I want to go back every day of my life!” Well Jaci, you almost got your wish! You have been to school almost every day of your life. And now you are so ready to move on! I’m not sure if I’m ready to let you go. But I know one thing for sure, you are ready to spread your wings and build your dreams! You are strong, kind, smart, talented. You know that you are a daughter of a kind loving Father in Heaven who loves you unconditionally. You have so much to give and share. And, the world needs you!

Jaci gave me some ideas of how she wanted her high school graduation announcements designed and this is what we came up with. {Jaci’s information has been changed a little to protect her privacy}.  Jaci  wanted a simple white and gold (or is it black and blue?, I couldn’t resist!) graduation announcement. We loved ideas we saw from other Seniors that have pictures showing what they love, sports they played in, clubs they joined, etc. So, we had to showcase the fact that Jaci loves to sing. Music was a huge part of her High School career, so it only seemed appropriate to capture it in her graduation announcements. I love that her announcements were completely customized to her personality.

Creating and printing your own graduation custom announcements can save you a ton of money. And typically if you have a Senior graduating, there are many other expenses involved in helping them start the next phase of their lives.  To help you save some time and money, I’ve created a graduation announcement template that you can customize at home!  The graduation announcement template is for a 5×7 card and is set up so you can print them as postcards at I love to maximize the space that I have with a postcard and show as many photos as possible in a clean layout. That’s one of the things I love about printing announcements on a postcard, you get to use the front and back for pictures, and it’s very inexpensive.  Another thing I love about the 5×7 postcards is that  you can mail them with regular postage. That’s a huge plus!

For a limited time, you can have this gold and white confetti graduation announcement template for FREE! Click here to download the gold and white confetti announcement. The graduation announcement template comes in a PSD format so you can easily customize it in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. I’ve included instructions as well as the names of fonts and web addresses where you can download them.

The beautiful wreath was a generous free file created by Hannah at We Lived Happily Ever After. It came in black and white and I added gold foil to it. What girl doesn’t love a little bling?! I purchased the gold confetti at the DreamyBokeh etsy shop.

I love these, you did a great job! And the pictures turned out super fun and gorgeous.
I can’t even imagine how it will feel when my babies start graduating. Open House night at my sons’s school for Preschool last week was hard enough.

Thank you! I used to be pretty tough, but as she’s gotten older, I’ve turned into a bigger baby. (well, maybe my heart has just grown and been tugged at more). But, at the same time, it’s so fun to watch them grow and pursue things they love and succeed.
